Mac Mail 10.x

Open Mac Mail Application and click on the "Mail" menu and select "Preferences..." from the list.


Select "Accounts".
Enter your first and last name in the "Full Name:" field.


Next, enter your iexposure.com email address, username@iexposure.com and password in the "email address" and "password" fields.

*NOTE: Once you are finished, if you would like to add an extra level of email security, follow the instructions below to add encryption (SSL). You can do this even if you've already set up your account.


Incoming Mail Server (2 options)
If you would like to download all of your email to your computer, Select "Account Type:" choose POP.
"Incoming Mail Server", enter: pop.iexposure.com
and your username and password, if not already there. Continue...

- Or -

If you would like to leave a copy of your email on our email server, or access your mail in multiple locations.
Select "Account Type:" choose IMAP.
"Incoming Mail Server", enter: imap.iexposure.com
and your username and password, if not already there. Continue...

Outgoing Mail Server
Enter: "smtp.iexposure.com".
Do not select User Authentication
Continue...

Review the information, click the"Create" button and you're done, unless you'd like to add more security. If so, continue following the instructions below.

Added Security - Step 1 (of 3)
Open Mac Mail Application and click on the Mail menu and select "Preferences..." from the list. Select "Accounts". In the "Accounts" window click on the server listed next to "Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP)" (note this may also say "None". In the drop-down menu select "Edit Server List..."

Added Security - Step 2
In the new window that opened up click on the "Advanced" tab under the account listing. Check the box next to "Use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). Next change the number in the "Server port:" field from "25" to "465". Make sure the selection next to "Authentication" is set to "Password". If not already entered, enter your Username and Password into the marked fields. Click "Ok" at the bottom right.

Added Security - Step 3

You have 2 options:

For POP Email accounts
Back on the main "Accounts" window click on the "Advanced" tab at the top. In the Advanced tab check the box next to "Use SSL". Verify the number in the "Port" field is "995". Also verify the "Authentication" selection is set to "Password". Close the "Accounts" window and save the changes.

For IMAP Email accounts
Back on the main "Accounts" window click on the Advanced tab at the top. In the Advanced tab check the box next to "Use SSL". Verify the number in the "Port" field is "993". Also verify the "Authentication" selection is set to "Password". Close the "Accounts" window and save the changes.
