Windows Mail - Vista

1) In Windows Mail Click on Tools -> Accounts to open the Internet  Accounts window.  In this window click on Add...

*NOTE: Once you are finished, if you would like to add an extra level of email security, follow the instructions below to add encryption (SSL). You can do this even if you've already set up your account.


2) Click on E-mail Account and click Next

3) Enter your name in the Display Name blank and click Next

4) Enter your E-mail address in the E-mail address blank and click Next

5) Now you have 2 options:
If you would like to download all of your email to your computer. Select POP3 from "Incoming e-mail server type:" and enter pop.iexposure.com in the Incoming mail server blank. Then enter smtp.iexposure.com in the Outgoing mail server blank.

- Or -

If you would like to leave a copy of your email on our email server, or access your mail in multiple locations. Select IMAP from "Incoming e-mail server type:" and enter imap.iexposure.com in the Incoming mail server blank. Then enter smtp.iexposure.com in the Outgoing mail server blank.

Note: DO NOT check the Outgoing server requires authentication box.

6) Enter your username in the E-mail username blank and your password in the Password blank and click Next.

7) Click Finish

Added Security - Step 1 (of 3)
In Windows Mail Click on Tools -> Accounts to open the Internet Accounts window. In this window click on your account then click on "Properties"

Added Security - Step 2
In the "Properties" window click on the "Servers" tab at the top. Near the bottom of this window check the box next to "My server requires authentication".

Added Security - Step 3

You have 2 options:

For POP Email Accounts

In the "Properties" window click on the "Advanced" tab at the top. Check the box under Outgoing mail that says "This server requires a secure connection (SSL)". After checking the box change directly above there is a box that has the number "25" in it, delete "25" and replace it with "465". Check the box under Incoming mail that says "This server requires a secure connection (SSL)". Verify the number in the box above it changes from "110" to "995". Click "Apply" on the bottom right, then click "OK". Then click "Close" in the Internet Accounts window.

For IMAP Email Accounts
In the "Properties" window click on the "Advanced" tab at the top. Check the box under Outgoing mail that says "This server requires a secure connection (SSL)". After checking the box change directly above there is a box that has the number "25" in it, delete "25" and replace it with "465". Check the box under Incoming mail that says "This server requires a secure connection (SSL)". Verify the number in the box above it changes from "143" to "993". Click "Apply" on the bottom right, then click "OK". Then click "Close" in the Internet Accounts window.
